I decided to put a few obsticles between you and the details about me, just for fun!
My name is Alice, I've been writing software since 2013 and I love to build nonsense. I work full-time doing freelance software and embedded systems development.
I hope you enjoy this game I made, feel free to pause, look around, and enjoy the scenery. You can always get hints and access a contact form from the pause menu
I've been a full-stack web developer for a long time, but that's not all I've been up to.
In 2016, I received my Associates Degree in Science, BEFORE I received my high school diploma!
Following this, I spent three years at Champlain College where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a Specialization in Mobile and IOT Development. I was the first person in my immediate family to have received a degree, much less on this level.
In 2013, I began spending summers in California and interning for my grandfather's company, RGN Solutions. Before my grandfather retired, his company provided critical software infrastructure for hundreds of hospitals across the United States.
Throughout high school, on top of blue collar work such as carpentry and landscaping, I worked part time for Statesman Computers as a computer technician.
Before college began, I started working for the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Here I continued to learn about new technology and troubleshooting software, while also beggining to pick up customer service skills as well.
In my second semester at Champlain College, I took a job at the college's Marketing Department as a Web Intern. Within a year, I was promoted to full time with the title, Web Production Specialist. I stayed there until 2021, acting as the college's leading advisor and developer for their main website.
Following my time at Champlain, I took up a role as a developer at SmartBug Media for a little over a year. I quickly created a new department within the development team, the Inbound Retainer Development Team, and became the manager of this new group of developers.
On top of creating and documenting this new structure for supporting ongoing client relationships, I also implemented a number of changes to SmartBug's client offerings, development procedures, and built a custom reporting server / client application for monitoring employee utilization and other important company metrics.
Throughout the years, I have taken on a number of freelance clients from LARP Groups and Game Stores to Musems and Travel Agencies. While much of this has been web development, I've also built a number of phone applications, custom servers & databases, and embedded software projects.
Some of my favorite projects have included:
